My Husqvarna 372 Muffler Mod

This is the recent muffler mod i had done to one of my 372XP's. The saw hasnt been properly tuned yet in this video so the revs are lagging but the points the same. Anyways, here it is!

thanks, the welder didnt want to cooperate much but in the end its ok, its my muffler anyway. i've recently tuned it and it did very well in the wood. i like it soon i will be ready to woods port the saw, then i will even throw some paint on the muffler :biggrinbounce2:

The engine will be moving more air, so you need to give it more fuel. You'd need to richen both your high and low adjustments (counterclockwise) a bit, maybe 1/8 to 1/4 a turn or a bit more, depending on how much the muffler is opened up.

Sorry to say this, after the fact, but you will hate those front firing ports......Best place is on the side by the chain......All you need is a deflector from a 288, some screen material, and a dremel.....

They can break off, or deflect the gases so as to get in your face....and catch the tree on fire....in the case of my 3120, which is putting out somewhere in the neighborhood of 12.87392106 hp

Also, I hope you closed up the factory port (which is in the proper place, by the way), as those two ports are, even by themselves, too large.

Are those 1/2" pipes you used and did you seal off the stock exhaust port on the top?Don't know about the location of your pipes but if they work for you good deal.Two 1/2" pipes on that saw with the stock port sealed should work fine.
