Yep, just bought an 015 with the hedge trimmer attachment on Tuesday and reported on it in the thread below.

Echo had one in 1979. Model CSAH-302 that fit on a CS-302. They also had a 6" post hole digger attachment for the CS-302. I have one of those...Bob

I have one for the 024/026 as well as the 015. They also made the 015 as a weedeater.

Granberg Clip-N-Trim attachment

I have a 16" version mounted on a Poulan S25D, bought it from
Granberg last spring, Bailey's used to sell them a little less than direct,
but I couldn't find them on their site last time I looked.
I don't have a hedge, but need to cut small whippy stuff sometimes,
tried it last week, looks like it will get that type task done, the spikes
keep small limbs from getting to the clutch area, think it was
around $25 delivered, 16", !8" and 20" models available, need a pre drilled
hole towards the end of bar or drill one for foward mount, the back goes
under bar studs.

other uses for hedge trimmer attachment

I have leaning trees on my back property line, some dying ash,
they are surrounded by briars & brambles; before I notch and make the
falling cut, I intend to use the hedge trimmer attachment to clear the way
for approach & retreat zones.
The old S25 ran so good with new fuel lines & a carburetor kit, I thought
of a dedicated use for it.

Did I get this from you Brad? Anyway, works great. Needs a new fuel line as it leaks when I tilt the saw. Haven't yet had to sharpen it.

Yeah Chris B. you did get it from me. I'm glad its working good for ya.

I believe they still make this hedge trimmer overseas and its called an HS246 or something. The rumor I heard is they stopped selling it in the US due to liability reasons. The HS242 will work on the 024, 026, MS240, and MS260 saws. There are pretapped holes on the clutchside of the crankcases on these models where it bolts on to. However, if I remember correctly it runs off of a .325 7t spur sprocket so you'd need that for whichever model your running it on.

i have an 020 that has a hedge trimmer attachments. honestly, since i picked up a dolmar hedge trimmer i haven't used it for such. it is heavier and the ergonomics aren't right for a hedge trimmer. i will say that if you can get the limb into the teeth, it will chop it in two.

Nope. There is plastic piece that fits on the rim-style drum. Comes in packs of 3 and they are built to break-away in case of a jammed up mechanism. At least, that's how mine is setup. Maybe it can be setup for a spur sprocket.

NMURPH, if you are interested in selling that hedge trimmer attachment if you are not using it, please PM me. Cheers!

The attachment to convert a chain saw?
The Granberg Clip-N-Trim is simple and just attaches to you bar.
It is really like how a hair comb works...separating the hair / hedge / briars etc.
Put on or take off in seconds...it just keeps whatever you're trimming from bending over.
12" to 20" bar fit...I use 14"...and very cheap...$16-$19...!!!
