Anyone got or knows how to get a #1122 400 1300 coil for a stihl 064? The one I have thats bad is a Bosch 2 204 222 108, my flywheel is a #1122 400 1201a. I heard you can use a different flywheel that will allow you to use a 0000 400 1300 coil but the bolt holes on the 0000 400 1300 aren't far enough apart to fit into the holes in the saw. The spacing of the holes in my saw are 2 3/16 inch apart and the 0000 400 1300 are only 1 3/4 inch apart. Any one have any idea what I should do? Thanks

Your best bet is to keep a close eye on e-bay, since the 1122 400 1300 coils pup up there occasionally. The early 064 cases only had mounts for that coil- later cases came with both sets of mounts to use either that coil or the universal (0000 400 1300) coil.

Jacob, Have you run 064's with 044 coils? Mike at Madsens has recommended this combo and I just grabbed a couple coils from a friend but haven't bolted em up yet.

As long as you have the proper flywheel and your 064 case has the mounts for the universal module (0000 400 1300) which is the one used on the 044, you're good to go. Pugsley is hard up though because his 064 case does not have the mounts for the universal module.

Thanks...yeah...you're right...one of my three 064 cases is older and the 044 coil wont work.

Ok fellers, what if I bought a left side engine case and put it on my engine. Then bought a flywheel and coil to fit that case. Would I have any major hangups?

It's very difficult to mix and match Stihl crankcase halves since they're machined as a set. Most often the deck on mis-matched case halves doesn't line up (the deck is the surface the cylinder bolts to) and then the engine isn't airtight and the saw won't run. I would just look for either the proper coil or a later complete crankcase that has the mounts for the later coil.
