If you have a Big Lots in your area, check out their latest deals. I picked up a Craftsman gas powered 42cc chainsaw with a 18 inch bar, plastic case, and oil mix for $55. The tools are brand new and seem to work pretty good. I also picked up a 42cc gas leaf blower, Craftsman brand as well. Not the best tools by any means, but the saw is my new loaner saw and both carry a full 2 year warranty from Sears.

The store we have here had two pallets of each tool on hand, so they must have a bunch of them to move. Check em out, great saw and leaf blower for $50!

We have Big Lots here in the northeast. I looked in 3 different states and I looked at the adds and did a search and found no Craftsman stuff at any of them. Wondering if you guys see these items advertised in the adds or on your local websites. thanks

I looked at our local ad, and they arent listed there either. But they sure got em in the store. If you want one, better hustle in there and look.

I went to one of the stores, no sign of them and the sales people looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they had them.

Sounds like a smoking deal, I'll check mine tomorrow.

I will admit I was expecting you to have some crazy story about a bargain generator you bought that shorted out the entire county and had homeland security branding you as some kind of homegrown terrorist.

I might be checking out BL this weekend.

I know the saw is a POS, but lately everyone has been wanting to borrow my stuff. I keep thinking about getting a beater to loan out to friends and family.

The National Security Letter doesn't allow him to discuss that matter.

Cross reference?

Did you note the serial number prefix so it can be cross referenced to the real manufacturer? Just wondering who craftsman/sears is using now. That new 50 cc one is Poulan, just wondering on this one. TIA

I have a Crapman saw, spent more for gas taking it in for warranty carb work than I paid for the saw.The small engine tech in the Minocqua,Wi store is an idiot, the store manager is a retard. I will never purchase any of their chinese junk , which they are dumping here in the states. The Craftsman name is now an instant turnoff to me. I spent hours on the phone to the 800 number for customer service for warranty repair...F#&K sears...
