These two blowddowns were hung in another tree. I cut the top one off and then dragged it out for cutting.

Batteries went dead so I couldn't get pics of dragging the second tree out. I know, pics or it didn't happen. Well, I am pretty sure it did happen because it was not there yesterday!:hmm3grin2orange:

Whats that white stuff on the ground? We haven't seen hardly any of that this year. Looks like a good load.

Nice load of wood and scenery. Saturday around here looked all white and frosty, yet it was not even cold out. I guess I am to blame for the lack of winter in the U.S.A. Last couple of years I have been preparing for it. I bought a used snowblower, a mini-bulldozer, two years ago a blaze king stove and cut lots of wood, and a duece and a half so I don't get stuck. Since I am now ready for snow I will never again see any to justify any of these purchases. Oh the shame of ruining winter for everyone. Well nice load of wood and charge the camera before you go next time lol

nice load of wood ted! since spring has sprung early this year going to have to start cutting sooner also.... that is as soon as spearing season is over?? march 1st is 2 weeks earlier than last cutting season! one good thing tho, get to beat the bugs out of the free sweat and salt hey!!lol

Nice pictures!!! Looks like you had enough to keep you busy!!!!!

Nice rounds! And you got some of that "white dirt" stuff! hahaha

I can't tell, is that ash?

No, Zog, it is all red oak. That is all I have in this woods. Red oak or pine. My guess is there are over two hundred blow down oaks in this woods. Plus all of the oak wilt killed trees. Bad for landowner, great for me!:msp_unsure:
Every load I take out, the landowner says shoulda taken more!

I take care to do a nice job of cleaning up behind myself. The landowner stopped by one day to tell me he liked how clean the woods is getting and that it looked like a park out there. So, I had a friend of mine who is a sign painter make me a sign that said "XXXX (landowners name) Park.
Under that it says "Proudly maintained by Quicksdraw McSaw and Balsa Louie! lol

He loves it!

I ordered a quarter beef from him, and when it came time to pay for it, they would not take my money! Thats awesome!!
