Hey guys my 044 is Burning ALOT of oil. This in my opinion shouldnt be happening LOL!! Yes the gas is mixed at 50:1 Exact.
When i start it it instantly starts blowing blue smoke all over even on normal run. When i go to WOT it seems like it bogs way down and the starts to climb until its not full open but close to it and is still blowing smoke. Whats going on? My guess is mabey carb or ignition but i need some advice.

Start with the patches, if that fails, try Chantix.

Be very careful, the saw may commit suicide.

Your 044 has developed '4-strokeitis'. . . Unfortunately, there is no cure, and it's terminal.

Just send it to me so I can see it gets a proper burial.

the compression is 170psi so no blowby there. Im guessing the carb is adjusted fine it was fine before it started smoking

Funny you should say that . Mine is in the hands of one T Landrum as I'm writing this .
She was running well, but after 13 years it was a matter of time before something let go .
It'll also get its breathing improved while there.

What dioes he charge for a port job?

You'd need to get that from him directly . I can say that he's about the same as the others here that offer that service . And, after hanging about on this forum for a while I can tell you they are all also very honest in their work . Makes for a tough choice , no ?
And if you don't know who they are.... Start reading old posts . It'll make your search worthwhile . At least that's my experience .
