That's a darned good looking saw. I see Stihl's move the decomp over towards the clutch side. In that last pic, the cylinder cover fastener almost looks like an ignition key whole. :D

Got a scale? this would be a great time to get a weight up on the weight thread.

only one i have is a ups scale ,not acurate to oz readings ,it said 16 lbs ,im shipping this saw unfired /unfueled to mastermind today maybe if he has a scale we can ask him to weigh before liquids ,this wrap am sure weighs a pound or so over non wrap model ,it feels just like my 440 does ,am sure theres not more than a few oz difference

Sweet saw....

this has a lot of similarities to the 361 ,the top key thing holds the plastic down kind of like on a 026 or 036 does

thanks for getting the pics to show up ,i still havent figured out how to do that

Very nice saw.

Regarding the embedding of pics I have the same problem. I use a computer all day long at work and still I can't figure it out. The instructions I tried to follow don't have the same images that come up when I try to actually do it.

Thanks for starting a new thread.

I'm looking forward to this build more than any I've done in quite a while. I'll post some things right away....weight, stock compression, etc.....

Man you know what one member said about that saw "It looks like the 461 is another screw-up to me - ..."

Congrats on the new saw :D

Rep sent on new 461 :)

yes respecting scotts thread is good to bring the info to a new one and not clutter his up ,i should have done that this morning ,im in no rush to get this back ,id rather use it for disection and information to the builders on here ,i have plenty of working saws ,i just wanted this model since ive seen the proto types a while back ,it sure is good looking ,i hope it runs as good as it looks

Damn, now I want another saw! That's just sexy right there. Husky fan or not, you can't deny that! If now only had a set of jugs... Lol.. I think everyone's just as excited as Randy is. Well all us stihl swinging guys.. Nice saw....

Out of the the few saws that have recently come out, I would like to have this one the most. I hope someone has one at Wiggs gtg if I get to come.

The main thing I want to know when you get it back is how it compares all the way around to the XPDUB

Extremely nice saw! Congrats, Randy will make it a beast, it'll be interesting to see how it performs compared to the Simonized 460 as I love my Simonized 460, it's a cutting machine.
