I would think that an Echo would woods port just as well as a Husqvara. The big question is if auto tune will put Husqvarna over the top. Again they don't actually have anything to sell yet. I assume Echo is just manually tuned.

Yes..that is correct...and also correct T540 not available in U.S. - Sooo what's your reason for starting this thread..??

I believe that the Husky is very close to being released. Is it a saw worth waiting for?

Echo may not have name brand behind them, but they know how to build a reliable saw. Keep in mind that Echo is on the move to building a superior product. The only thing that holds them back is our perception of who they are.

The same goes with me knowing that nothing even compares to Stihl and thus I am more than happy to pay whatever it takes to own a Stihl. My grandpa ran Stihls and by golly I am going to run a Stihl.

What I found out is Husky can be better.

I also found out that any time Echo puts out a new product with incredible specs, then you had better take them seriously and throw out the ideas of the past. Their spec sheet is totally unlike any product they have put out in the past - with the CS-355T.

With their price point, I wouldn't be surprised that many of you will be bragging about your ported Echo Top handle and how it makes fun of the Stihl and would make fun of the Husky that doesn't really exist.

Is Husky worth waiting for???

It's been available in Europe for several years...but not many top-handle folks in Europe on this forum.

There will be plenty of buyers and reviews when it gets finally released in the U.S.

Worth waiting for..??..not if you need a top-handle saw now..buy something you like now and when the
T540xp is released and you like it better..then just sell the top-handle you buy now..take a small loss.

This T540 U.S release date has been waay extended..next couple months..next Spring..next Fall..on and on..!!

Echo cs-355t

If the ECHO CS-355T is better balanced than the MS200T and MS201T, has the same horsepower, has a better warranty, and has the ECHO reputation for quality and reliablity behind it, plus it is about $150 to $180 less, then why not give it a look? Some dealers might even have a demo model you could run. It's crazy spending that kind of money for the Stihl or waiting for the Husqvarna without at least taking a hard look at the ECHO.
