What is the scoup on these saws. A guy has all 3 and I am to go look at them. Which of these saws is a pro saw and are there common problems with any of these models? Any info would be nice before going to check them out.

272 also on this chassis, no known probs that I'm aware of, I have a closed port 268 and a 272xp, great saws!!!

Oh, yea....sooo much trouble with those saws! let me do you a favor and check them out before you waste your time:msp_tongue:
They are great saws! I have a 61 and a 266. The 268 should be a XP model...i guess thats considered a "pro model"? parts are fairly easy to come across for right now...snatch them up and post the pics!

Defined Husqvarna for along time, solid performers. Fairly common in all flavors around here, parts are readily availible in the AM and used markets.

Problem areas to look for are carbs(H/L screws wallered out) will not hold a tune, air leaks(everywhere) and more than a few ignitions are failing these days.

I do not know anyone wanting to give up they're 365/372s for one but that series of Husqvarnas holds it's own and always regarded as dependable performers. Simple saws to work on as well.

I like a 268, yep goes well with a 288, like a matched set.

I would not break the bank to get them but if the price was right I would snag them.
