I'm new to Husqvarna. I thought they were or at least some where made in the US. While looking for the year of manufacture I noticed my is tagged "Made in Sweden". Are they all made there or a few made here? :msp_confused:

The very cheapest ones are made by Poulan in the USA. At the moment that is the 235, 236 and the 240, as far as I know. It has been that way since 1990 or so.

They are restructuring their production capasity though, so this may be changing....

When I went to Lowe's I could have sworn the 445 and 455 Rancher said made in usa on the box, I might be wrong though. Don't hold me to it....

When I was in the shop I saw a Husqvarna USA banner. Then I had a post about modding a new 570 and was asked what year it was so I went to the shop and looked. I just assumed it was USA made. just thank the good Lord it didn't say "Made in China"

Both 2 and 4 series are made in the US. 3 and 5 series (mag cased saws) are made in Sweden.

the 455's are made in sweden..the way i have it figured everything smaller is rebadged poulans

I believe I have heard of some 4xx series saws made in the US before, but wasn't really sure of the extent of it....

My little hurt'n unit 55 says made in brazil. It's a 2007 model, looks brand spank'n new, and was free so i don't have to feel bad about it. Hahahah

None of them are rebadged Poulans, even though they are made at the Poulan factory.

I'm telling myself that the little huskies are made there so they can maintain a low production cost and compete with the homeowner market share. This is the only way I could deal with something that says wildthing sitting next to my beloved huskies.:hmm3grin2orange:
