Up for sale is a pretty clean Stihl 088. This is 1 of 2 that had it's cylinder and piston scored from what I suppose was straight gassed. Brand new OEM piston , rings , pin , clips and cylinder. I have the muffler but do not have the mounting hardware to put it back on. This is a fresh rebuild with no time on the saw at all. No B&C , powerhead only! Missing bar nuts and a few pieces for the clutch assembly (minor , no biggy ). Look at pics good , what you see is what you get. No trade offers please.

OFFERS VIA PM ONLY PLEASE. PAYPAL AS GIFT! SHIPPING IS ON BUYER! I AM IN HAWAII , ZIP 96743. THANKS.View attachment 313623View attachment 313624View attachment 313625View attachment 313626View attachment 313627

Do you know the round about shipping to mid US? That way most have an idea what to ad? Never thought of shipping to Hawaii? Prob cost a couple pennies?

But, that is a nice saw. If shipping was reasonable? I'd bite..

Good idea Dex , I will try to see if I can get a round about estimate on shipping tomorrow. Cheapest is going to be by means of UPS for sure.

Please be reasonable on the offers , PLEASE. This is a NEW OEM piston and cylinder kit on a saw you hardly ever see for sale here at AS. I am not sure if those offers that were sent to me via PM were meant for laughs or insults but a $100 offer is pretty petty of an offer. I know I said I'd take offers but I meant serious offers.

I'd get an estimate for USPS as well...
I've shipped some pretty big packages to Hawaii from here in CT and it was still less than UPS.

USPS is cheaper to Alaska and Hawaii than UPS.

Without looking I would guess in the $100 range to the east coast (I checked on shipping a 359 from HI a couple of months ago). It is cheaper than I would have thought, and much cheaper than shipping to the Aussie's.

Well I checked with a friend at USPS and it would be under to right around $100. If it went over , which I doubt , I'd cover the balance.

You'd probably have more luck if you put a price on it

I have many offers! If I put my price on it then I would scare away all possible buyers , This way if someone (there has been many) throws me an offer and I accept it , then it is a win win situation.Buyer gets it for what he wants to pay and I get to sell it. I'm not trying to get the so called "AS MUCH AS I CAN" for it , just what I can without giving it away. And besides , if I put a price on it and someone seems it's to high and comments that it's to much , I am not good at being nice. I have to much drama in my life as it is , I DO NOT need any more.

Do as you like, but I think the advice about a price is sound. Would you go to Walmart if there were not prices on the items and you have to go to the cashier to know the cost? Do your research- Ebay, CL, Classifieds, searching posts here. Come up with your price. If you don't get any responses in a reasonable time (~1wk-10d or so) you probably have it priced too high.

I agree just a ballpark number. Post high and then negotiate down to what you really want. Will save people from wasting your time and theirs. Good luck.

I see the like button is back! Ok Ok then , I give in. I post a listing with best offer VIA PM. I give the best description I can about the saw and then I get ask Q's about the saw which I clearly answered in the listing. Well here it is folks , $600 plus shipping , FIRM! $100 shipping anywhere in US 50. If it goes over , I cover balance.
