Stihl MS361, Stihl MS180c (for girlfriend), Stihl BG55 blower.
1. Go to beach with steak and beers, let girlfriend carry her own saw.
2. Get her started on some nice sand-free yellow-cedar logs, have a beer and watch that she is being safe in operating her new machine.
3. Have another beer and think about starting your saw as you collect and pile small kindling and twigs.
4. Start the fire and add progressively larger pieces of wood in a tent-like fashion.
5. Have another beer and start the blower, aim it at the base of the fire about 5 feet away and add more wood,...lots more.
6. Start cooking the steaks on a stainless steel fork about 4 feet long and about 6 feet away from the base of this monster you have created.
7. When the firemen show up, (this actually happened), offer them beer and a steak. (They were off-duty and driving home along the ocean in the fire-truck when they spotted us ha ha.)
8. When they leave, add more logs. Hope this works for you. A small leaf-blower, even idling, makes for an incredible beach fire. Cheers, Simon.
PS, I never started the 361 that day
