I recently purchased a beat up 154 se. The anti vibe is shot and the gas tank leaks. My question is will a 254 xp tank fit on this saw? I tried to get the info on husqvarna site and here but none of the ipl's will download.

And maybe a 261.

Yup, that one too.

But you will have the best luck finding a 257 tank. That saw was the cheapy of the family. My brother had a pallet full of junk 257's behind his shop, but I already robbed them for what I needed and they gave the rest to the Mexicans.

Any anti-vibe issues switching between springs on 262 and rubber mounts on 254? I put a 254 tank on a 262 but used the 254 mounts.

I wouldn't think so, I prefer spring mounts because the gas and oil doesn't rot them but have never noticed much difference in feel.
But I am the wrong guy to ask. My experience with this family is race only. Vibration doesn't bother me until the saw slows down.

Reviving a very old post, I know, but I am wondering:

Can the 262 spring mounts could be retrofitted to a 154/254?
