I don't have a service manual and I'm looking for the torque specs for the following parts on a Poulan 2025/2050:

- flywheel nut
- clutch assembly
- cylinder bolts (hold cylinder to the saw case)

Also, if I get this saw back together and it runs well, is this a good book to have on the shelf for future repairs:

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure just putting it on as tight as you can with a standard ratchet would be good for the flywheel nut, the other two should be put on pretty tight, but not rediculous. I'd be interested to know the actually ft/lbs required, but I'm sure it'll be fine if you guess.

Scottr would probably know, but I just tighten everything pretty tight and go on.
I have the book and like it.

The Poulan 2025/2050 is not listed in that service manual . You can call the Poulan customer assistance help line for torque specs . 1-800-554-6723

hi - just tighten them. use a T-handle for the cyl, powerbar or ratchet for flywheel. it aint a 600 hp mack, just a chainsaw...

to test: its simple... if you overtighten, the bolts snap. undertighten, the flywheel comes off and the gaskets leak.

when running grab beer to celebrate

Usually I do use the "good-n-tight" method but I just wanted to make sure.

I do a lot of bicycle riding and maintenance and you would be surprised on how often you should be using a torque wrench......and it's just a bike!

I do all my own bike maintenance and am a pretty hardcore mt biker, I never use a tq wrench on the bike. I also do all my own car maintenance and the only time I use a tq wrench is when I am putting engine parts on with a gasket, like oil pan, heads, valve covers etc etc. I used a tq wrench putting the head back on my moped, but I really didn't need to.
