I stopped in at the nearest Husky dealer today to try and get a filing roller guide-"they don't have them and don't get any call for them-everyone just drops their chains off for grinding". Really? I asked - how much - $10.00/loop :jawdrop: Then I noticed a brandy new 372 on the shelf and asked the price - contractor price of $780w/20" bar. It was all I could do not to laugh out loud in his face. I quickly walked out before they charged me for breathing!!!:bang:

This can't be real world Husky pricing is it? They did say that they had 346's at 445.00 ea.

Try about 3 dollars for a new file. As for the 372 being 780 I hope that was just a typo. You can get them for $605, either a 18" or 20", I don't remember which. But anyway thats a waaaaayyyy off the $780. Keep shopping!

Sounds like he has them priced the same as the Stihl 70cc saws.

I have seen the 372's for $580 before taxes powerhead only.

I knew that the dealer was located in a high-end area and was prepared for him to be pricey - but these numbers were insane. I seriously doubt I'll ever step foot in there again.

Hey Charlie - that was my thought when I saw the tag on the saw - so I asked at the counter and he looked up the price and it was the same # (for homeowner or contractor).

dealer about 25 miles from me has them 650.00 with 20 inch bar + tax

I saw a guy on Craigs list that said he had 3 new in the box with 24" bars for $525. I called, but he never called me back..... Hmmm would have been a sweet deal...:jawdrop:

LAZER

I purchased my 359 online. I really wanted to buy local but I am not made of money and local dealer bye me are a joke. I got a new 359 with 4 chains, hat, shirt, no tax, & no shipping for $405. My local dealer wanted $545 just for the saw + tax!!!!:jawdrop:

780.00 I would snap it up as here the 2171 goes for a tad over a 1000.00 Cdn thats like 989.00 U.S dollars:clap: I would really like to know why they screw us so bad on the saw prices in Canada! Heated handles are like $75.00 more. I really want to get a 2171/372 but if Bailey's starts to carry the Makita 7901/Dolmar 7900 That will be my next choice. As everyone is looking for something light and powerful.

$10 per loop!!!???

it's only $3 per loop here

tell that guy to stuff it

They have the 7900. Call them, they cant list it on the net.

Thanks for the info I even asked them on there FAQ section on the 6400 and they posted a reply. Saying they were having trouble with Dolmar/ Makita wanting to supply the saws to North America. If I new how to post the link I would but it is on Bailey's web page under the FAQ part on the 6401 Makita.

Not all prices around the country are the same, I could buy the 372 cheaper from Baileys than I could from Husky themselves.

Why not ask them to order in files for you instead of jumping out the door? They may be very nice and helpful!!

I was just in at my dealer, $ 1,008.00 CDN = $ 1,028.00 U.S. for a new 372 XP My 357XP was $799.00 It's a real shame that we take it...well you know where, when buying our goods north of the 49th.

At least you're in the continent, Kah

If I was to buy the 372 I'd have to givem almost 1,400$ and no mistake.
Can you believe it?
They sell "Made in China" plasti-crap saws with funny names, they actually go for 400-500$ for 40cc.
:dizzy:

Kah the market is much smaller here. Supply and demand the demand is for homeowner saws and the supply is plenty= lowprice but prosaws low supply and low demand = high price. 372xp is $1000 440 is $1100 and 441 is $1100 want heated handle add $100 20" chain loop $30
grinding $7.00 a loop. I used to feel like you until I read some posts about what the guys in a really low demand Country pay.
