cracked cover

hey all I dropped a tree on my saw and I got a new top cover but can I fix the old one it cracked right through one of the screws the hold the handle on the right side the saw is a 056 magII

Duct tape, as usual - but it fits Jonsereds silver-tops better than anything else.......

ha ha ha I was just wondering if I could weld it or something then redrill and tap the screw hole

you can get it welded... but duct tape is cheaper and you will look hard as nails with a taped chainsaw.

Degrease the crack, epoxy in the crack, and after its set, a timesert insert for the thread. Good as new..

They got Orange and Camouflage and a bunch of other colors. Why waste your friggin time with all that work. You could be patched up and back running in about 1 min or so. An when it goes bad, you just wrap a little more on. I got it all over me clothes and it hold the saw chips out of my pants like a champ dude. Link below man...
