My Husky 390xpw arrived safely from Cali today. Put the handle on, bar & chain on, gas & oil in and it fired up after about 8 pulls. Went out to the log pile and cut for 45 minutes(till dark). Ran great! The smoothness in the cut is great too. Almost identical to the 372. It can only get better from here as the break in period progresses. Very impressive saw. The muffler modd will follow soon.

Nice looking. Hows it compared to your DN660 you sold?

I like it much better. Smooooth. :) The balance is better. Power now is very similar to the 660 when it was new stock. Too close to tell. If it has the blue coil, that will have to go next. I want it to tach at 13,500 WOT. It has the 28" bar on it same as the 660 had. :chainsawguy:

Congrats!!

Cool to hear news about that model......

It is too bad that I can find no excuse to get one, even the 372 is overkill here....

You're joking, right..? No excuse..? Do you think I can justify an 066 just for felling, bucking and so? There is, of course, another cause to justify these things even for us Scandinavians, just say after me:

I need it for milling. No, really, I do!

See?

Well, I have considered a 660 Logosol for ripping duties....:greenchainsaw:

Congrats on the new saw!! Heck i bought a 395XP and most of what it will cut will be around 12". Just want to cut it fast........

BTW I just don't really get it. I keep reading about how nice one saw is and then another(speaking of the Husky line). Other than displacement I can't see the diff. in the lineup. They seem to all boost of similar features, their all orange and all have a prickly bar sticking out in front. LOLOLOLOL
