South Florida Trees as firewood

I am cutting down three trees in my in order to install a swimming pool.
The three trees are:
Mango
Scheffelera
Pon Gam
Are any of these woods OK for use in a wood burning firepalce?
I hate to see good wood go to waste.

Sorry I am not much help. I thought I would add on though. I just cut down a mimosa tree over my pool and from what I understand these tress migrated up from florida. Anybody burned mimosa? The wood actually has a nice sriped pattern and looks pretty cool...might be neat as cabinets or flooring because of the pattern.

I don't know about those species but the rule of thumb is: If you need to get rid of it, the best use is to burn it. So it may not be the best grade firewood - no matter - it burns.

When talking about burning in a fireplace, who cares how good it is? A fireplace is the most efficient design to waste wood ever invented. Except for those romantic 'mood' fires of course.

There are, or so I've heard, some that will smell bad when burning but that is rare.

So, what use do you have for a fire in Ft. Lauderdale?

No offense, I am just jealous. We've had outr first snow already up here...

Maybe you could rent a truck and drive it up here and sell it off to these rich folks as "gourmet" or "designer" firewood.

It burns a little on the fast side, but it ignites easily and burns with a lively flame. It's pretty light when dry.
