What are the differences between the old and new version? Husqvarna's site does not give this info. Does the new one have a Cat muffler?

I am verry happy with my Choice in the NE346XP ATop end for my 2152 now a 2153. I had lots of great info from this site. I put a 18" 3/8 LGX setup on mine and i am sticking with it. I cut some oak 16" rips right through it. I need to get a vid of it now. I will work on it later today or in the AM and post it up

Is the only real performance difference in the cylinder only? Same carb etc.? In other words if you put a NE top end on an older 346 should it be expected to run as well as a new XP?

Yes!

...Well, the carb model is changed, but it is said to not matter......

hmm i know what im gonna do when mine needs a top end!!

does anybody know is it a longer stroke to get the larger cc? or is it a larger piston? and on the carb is the carb bore the same or is it just jetting differnces??

im pretty sure my is a cat model since i bought mine in Kalifornia mine is like 5 years old, i gotta find my manual for it to see what the bore and stroke is and to see if it says what the carb specs are also

i havent had a 3/8" chain on mine just vp95 i wonder how it would do with more power and a 3/8" chain
