All the goodies on your Stihl saws?

Long clutch cover
DP muffler cover and/or entire Magnum muffler.
Dual spike kits
Elastostart handles

$26.95 for the 440 dp cover
$42 for the 660 dp cover.

Haven't bought anymore spikes yet, but I would like to find a small set of dual dogs for the 440/260 and 038 mag. Nothing in the IPL's that I can find, other than a set of Big dogs for the 440.

I paid Zero to remove the spikes from my MS361W - same with the NE346xpg, except they weren't on the saw, but in the box........

Dual Port Muffler Cover $35
Inside/Outside Spike $30 pair
Roller Chain Catcher $7
Deep Clutch Cover $40-$50

The Deep Clutch Cover extends to the bottom of the saw. This helps protect the user from the chain while using the saw with clutch side up. I suspect it also makes the saw a little more likely to plug up if a lot of noodles are being cut.

well..i used to buy spikes for my 046/460's and 066/660's...but now im gonna make them out of stainless steel. (i'll take pics) i think i might even make my own roller chain catcher!!--not really a matter of $..just wannda do it..

as for the dual ports covers, both of mine were around $35, the tall clutch cover was around $60 i think, alot of places want $75 for them(they want $75 for a handlebar too!!)

Ya mean not all Stihl pro saws come with them. Humph. All the ones on the shelves around here come standard that way and bars over 13"

that is one thing ive never understood...i wish all the bigger (044-088 and the new versions). came with the dp muffler, drop down clutch cover, the bigger spikes and roller catcher and the HO oiler. surely it wouldn't cost them that much more to make??:dizzy:

All of the above came with my MS660 (except the dual port @~$35.00) plus it came with the high output oiler. Of course mine had the 3/4 wrap handle. Grand total for the dual spikes, DP, long clutch cover, elastostart and bonus high output oiler was only $999.00 out the door - with a 36" bar, square ground stihl chain (full skip) and powerhead thrown in for "free". :hmm3grin2orange:

You need Pictures of spikes for a 046 PM me..

Regardless...do you have any idea on how much those weigh?

Back-breaking amount I would assume??????????

Am I right??

Are we to assume that you are taking the spikes off due to weight issues, which I would assume you do to reduce fatigue, yet in the process you remove the very thing that allows you to take some advantage of the simple lever effect, which would void out any gain and then some, in the spike weight loss????

I doesn't make any sense?

Sam
