The cutter name dwayen dethlens who works for pihl logging was taking down a tree. At first glance, I thought he had a Husky, but it looked like something else. Any of you guys know if it was a Solo or Dolmar?

Jonsered

It's a Jonsered CS2171 with a full wrap handle. At first I thaught it was a 2186 but I saw the number on it the other day. I'm not as good with j-reds as I am with husky or stihl even dolmar anymore......the j-reds are hard to tell apart.:greenchainsaw:

he also has been running husky

He also has been running husky as well.....:greenchainsaw:

You mean the...

The raging alcoholic who is about 45 and looks like he is about 300? Sure looks like a jonsey to me.

One of the Stump Branch guys was carrying what appeared to be an 066 on his shoulder in preparation to top off a tree. The 660/066 seems to be the Stihl of choice on AxMen. Robbie, the guy setting the skyline for Gufstason, was test cutting into a stump with what looked like a 385xp, I think I've only seen Gufstason guys running Huskys. I haven't seen any big big saws on there yet

haha

That was a 372 that robbie used to cut that stump...not a 385. And the saw that the stump branch guys used to top the tree was a hopped up stihl 460 with a max-flow air filter and dual port muffler.....it sounded like it was ported as well, just by the way it cut and idled. It idled like it was rearin' to go. Biggest saws on there are 066/660's and 395/394's.:greenchainsaw:

I've been mighty surprised myself by all the Jred/Huskies we've seen on that show...if we were to believe what we're told by our PNW brethren on THIS board, well don't we always hear about how no one's ever SEEN a Husky up there? :D :D :D

Yeah I thought that Jonsy was a 2186 too, till I saw it was a 2171. Looks like he had a 28", maybe even 32" bar on it. PNW guys, go figure:cheers:

Yeah, I wanna know too!

Husky and Jonsered are supposedly like Sasquatch out there-everybody knows what it is but nobody has ever seen one (or a dealership to buy one at):greenchainsaw:

I think he had both a 2186 and 2171 saw probly depens on what saw he grabs that day.

It's cause those guys that run them don't make as much money as the ones running stihls. They have to be on tv otherwise they would starve. And they threw in the guys that run stihls just to make it look non biased.:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Don't you mean to say "they threw in the guys who got their steals running that day"...

:D

Probly wont see a 441 on the show because those guys are already in the soup lines.:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

I was impressed by Jay Browning.
I don't know which Stihl he had, but he sure made it sing.
Watching him fell trees using a hook to hold the saw was quite something.

Is it just me, or is that NOT the smartest way to carry a saw. I don't know about anyone else, but I have taken my share of spills in the woods, and I don't want something that sharp that close to my neck:greenchainsaw:

I'll second that one

When I look at the bucking spikes on the saw we run out this was (about 200 miles or so north of that show), I would hate to see someone slip with a saw on their shoulder. The spikes on my 2100 are a good 2 inches long, seems like that would sting a little bit when it goes into your shoulder and neck. Years ago (I was about 12-ish) I was walking with a homemade machete on my shoulder in my parents land way out in the woods. You know, one of those things that someone made out of an old leaf spring or something, weighs about 5 pounds. I caught my shoe on a root and went over forward. If I hadn't thrown it away from me (to the side), I would have pretty much lopped my right ear off. Aside from the pain and funny looks, how would I keep my sunglasses on these days?
