I have a quince tree in my yard when I built my house. I had no idea what it was but I left it to learn more about it. I have been there now 5 years and nobody even wants to pick any. the quince just grow and fall off. I have never even seen any with bite marks in them so this has to say something. I read up on it and ask people about it and everybody said that it did make great quince butter but you had to pour the sugar to it to make it sweet enough to eat. I was hoping to find someone to make some so I could try it but I think that all the old people that used to make it must be gone now. It is like everything else, the old ways are being forgotten.
