Yes sir! The Z50 does indeed refer to the great little Hondas. I once owned 5 of the little buggers and would have parties where my friends and i would drink copious amounts of beer and proceed with racing around the yard and smash n crash one another. Great fun! I won a lot, so hence the name z50guru ;) One of my favorite moves was to grab the others front brake causing them to "wash out" the front wheel and Take m down heheh. Those little hondas were indestructible in all their designs and sizes ;)

You replied to someone who inquired about the date of manufacture of their Husqvarna 61. I recently bought one. I called Husqvarna and they weren't sure. Serial number is 9420644, black tag. They thought it was a 1994. I read somewhere that the first two digits as the year of manufacture didn't begin until 2000. They said that wasn't a hard and fast rule. Different places of manufacture had different ways of doing it. Mine is a Sweden built saw. I bought a 162 in the late 1970's. It has cut around 100 cords of oak for me and is still going strong, which is why I got the 61. Seems like about the same saw. I recently ordered a rim sprocket conversion for the 162 from jacks small engines. The change from one part number to another is serial number 0510000. They said my saw's serial number (051785) was prior to the part change number of 0510000, and are sending me the kit accordingly. Does this seem correct? Can you tell what year the 162 is based on its s/n. Thanks.
