I have a 576 that is absolutely grenaded/broken rod/smashed cylinder etc... It only had a couple tanks on it so its like new other than the shrapnel damage. I think the cases might need a little filler/TLC where the rod hit, but it didn't look too serious. Its likely that the bearings/seals are good.
The cylinder is garbage unless you're a magician with a welder.
If you're interested I could dig it out and take some pics.
I was planning on keeping some parts off it for myself ( heated handlebar, flywheel/stator, clutch cover etc...). I just haven't had time to part it out yet.
