Hopefully this isn't as common as the back of your hand, lest my ignorance be on full display. I've now scoured the web, even tried Google's image matching (found a lot of pasta dishes :confused:), but can't find this exact rope. Anyone know this guy's name, and primary purpose? (yellow w/dark blue, ~3/8)

Saw some yale in the shop the other day that looked just like that, there were two types, one with flecks together and one with flecks separate. One was double esterlon and the other might have been polydyne, can't remember exactly
