Having invested in a wood chipper recently, I'm starting to notice I've got a fair bit of money's worth of tree equipment lying around. Apart from a couple of padlocks, it's there for the taking and I have no insurance.

I'm wondering if there are commonly used security measures others here take to protect themselves from loss of their tree plant and equipment? Or, whether most people just take out insurance and rely on that?

Thanks for your feedback.

As a South African to have insurance you have to lock your tools away in an alarmed area otherwise they won't look at you. I also use dogs and armed response.
