The City of Newton Massachusetts is seeking experienced tree care workers to join a team of dedicated professionals working to rebuild Newton’s Urban Forestry program. We focus on responding to the needs of our customers and ensuring safety for our workers and the public. We expect efficiency, quality and professionalism. Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years experience in all phases of arboriculture
· Class B or higher driver’s license
· Hoisting license within six months of hire
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Solid experience operating bucket trucks and Log Loaders
· Professional attitude with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm

Responsibilities include:
· Performing work outdoors with frequent exposure to adverse weather, heights, and utility lines
· Operate all equipment typically found in the arboriculture industry including bucket trucks, log loaders, chippers, stump grinders and chainsaws
· Respond frequently to tree related emergencies outside of normal work hours
· Working regularly scheduled overtime
· Perform preventative and basic maintenance to all equipment used
· Perform all types of arboriculture work including tree pruning, tree removal, tree planting, and stump grinding.
