had two saws taken out of my shed last night. Stihl 036 pro as well as a husky 272xp :/. Soooo irritating!!

ugh that sucks dude. a couple of true classics right there. hopefully you have serial #'s so you can report them stolen.

I know this reply is a little late but irritating is putting it litely. I'd love to catch a thief in my shed, he wouldn't leave lol

Same here. I now have a wireless motion detector to alert me if someone demos decide to come back

Well, I think I'm going to get my 036 back. Didn't have the serial numbers written down, but I did take photos. Had 4 good photos of the 036. Happened to stop into one of the local pawn shops, and there it sat. Called the police and told them...they were going to check the photos I emailed to them, and get back with me!!

Mark all the saws under the air filters and chain covers, as well as keep all serial #'s and photos as you did. Bigger dealers will keep a record of the saws you've bought for warranty records, couldn't hurt to ask
