I'm looking at going into this old saw to freshen things up a bit - clean/inspect/measure/hone/ring etc.

Is there a known-good recipe of things to do in there without making the saw temperamental and/or unreliable?

I'm guessing matching gaskets and flanges at a minimum would help it breathe easier
