got this 281 husky here for sale. the tag says it is a 288 but measured bore and figured out it has a 281 cylinder on it. this saw swallowed it's choke shaft screw and really did some damage to the piston which was also installed backwards lol anyways, i'm much to busy with work to be rebuilding a saw i can't use anyways so figure i would pass a project on. cylinder is fine other then a ding in the intake floor. i'd just bevel it or port it and run it. the crank has also spun in the PTO crank bearing so will need a complete rebuild. the clutch cover also has the handle covering area broken off like many end up. the good is that, other then a bar plate it is all there. has the eliminator cover and K&N filter setup on it. muffler is also modded with dual pipes. had great compression. taking shipped offers in PM on this one. oh ya, it also has a full wrap handlebar. if i think of anything else i will update the thread. I also have a used hyway 288 cylinder kit in good shape i will include. If it doesn't sell in a couple days she'll be stripped for parts.

Here's what a choke shaft screw looks like after going through the engine lol

Here's a few pics of it assembled and wiped down. Hyway 288 top end sitting next to it. Lots of potential in this project. Gotten quite a few PM's but still taking offers for a bit. It is assembled without the base gasket and is not sealed up. Figured it would be a waste of 518 since a guy's gonna have to pull it apart anyways.

nice top :D what's the offers up to? 200+

not quite lol although IMO for a guy looking for a 281 it is worth that. $60 in ebay parts and a bit of your time gets you a $260 281xp. whether you use the AM top end or not doesn't matter. a 281 top end makes a serious runner. i should add at this point that i discovered it also needs a chain tensioner so other then a bar plate and tensioner it's all there.

this saw is sold boys. i got alot of PM's, like alot. hopefully notifying guys here is enough rather then writing a PM to each guy that it is sold. thanks for your interest.
