Rebuilding an 025 and realized the nipple for the gas vent valve is gone. Anyone have a suggestion as to the best way to repair the nipple or modify? The venting system seems kind of odd using tubing and set screws.

Thanks. Jason.IMG_20160726_124753099.jpg

I would probably use an 1/8" hose barb. Drill/ out the hole and thread barb in. Tap if possible or needed. Then just reuse the tubing and set screw vent.

A drop of epoxy just for Good measure.

Not sure which one your referencing but I have a few saws with this configuration and I've never had a problem with the vent.

I use an echo style vent and a short hose. Done and done. They fit under the cover. Those old design double grub screw vents leak.
They don't if you do it correctly......
As far as the broke off nipple, just drill it out to the correct size, and use the grub screw style vent.
