Dolmar 112

Hi guys i just purchased a dolmar 112 points version. Non runner but in good clean condition, need advice please on two problems .1st off the points were loose so is there an easy way to put them in correct setting withoout cam tool? I managed to put them somthing like as getting intermittent spark. I read intermittent spark may be down to short or broken wire? Any help be great thanks.

You would have had some more success putting this in the dolmar section of chainsaw stickies. Of my shed full of dolmars, my two 112's give me the most trouble trying to stuff around getting them set up right The trouble is that they seem to have good spark and then break down under load. The easy solution is to fit the stand alone electronic ignition from a 120/116si - this bolts straight on and you will have a good sold if a bit heavy for 52cc saw.
