    Husqvarna 359 question

Hi guys. Was just given a low hour (looks brand new) non-epa Husky 359 with scored piston. I have a good late model 357XP cylinder sitting on the shelf in my shop that I was contemplating porting out a bit and throwing on there with a meteor piston. I have been skimming through the threads...

I screwed up porting my Husqvarna 55 now what should I do???

I picked up a 55 parts saw today. Piston has light scoring through the exhaust but cylinder will likely clean up. I can pull it apart and assess if you are interested. Mike

Looking at a Jonsered 2045 But need help on parts( Brake Handle)

Chainsawr World's largest inventory of Chainsaw Parts if you do not see it listed call him or email I would all but bet he has one. There are a few parts saws going through ebay right now, not sure how much you were looking to spend but that is a good option especially if you plan on...

    Usps>ups

I've had similar luck with Baileys. UPS ground takes all of a week. The USPS rate is always better to my door from Baileys and it only takes 3 days. As for fedEx...I was shipping about $300,000/yr with them through our company. We ship equipment all over the world for projects. Their rate...

What's the best backpack blower on the market?

Echo owns Shindaiwa, both are good machines, both are tried and true. The 770 I have drinks fuel..it is moving some serious air though. I am sure the others are fine machines too. Echo has an excellent reputation in the blower industry and is made in USA, that answers question for me. The...

What's the best backpack blower on the market?

Echo or Redmax for a blower. I have the 770 and as far as a blower goes it puts Jenna Jameson to shame. I've never tried a Stihl or Shindaiwa, their reputations speak for themselves of course. If specs are anything like they are with saws its about 75% BS anyhow. I have some landscaper...

I screwed up porting my Husqvarna 55 now what should I do???

You could relocate the pin for the ring..but seriously a cylinder can be had somewhat on the cheap...so long as it isn't that hens tooth 55 EPA. I would buy a parts saw, take a chance on the jug, sell the remaining parts. I just picked one up but the saw was nice enough to fix and baileys...

    Golf piston for Husqvarna 365

I have seen OEM slugs and jugs going for decent prices on evil-bay. Seems everyone wants to throw those big bore kits on their 365. Just another option, I'd take OEM any day.

I screwed up porting my Husqvarna 55 now what should I do???

Some of those 55's are open port and some are closed. narrows your options a bit, make sure you know what you got before ordering. I usually try to buy a good used cylinder or take a chance on cleaning up one on an ebay parts saw before I go aftermarket. A ported aftermarket cylinder will...

    Case crack! What to do??

I'd replace the case half before I tried the tig but both would work of course. Really your only option there.

    Husky 261 starts hard

Too lean = poor throttle response. Saw should also idle higher. Proper method to adjust the L would be go to where throttle response gets poor. Then richen it until throttle response is good. Adjust the idle screw so saw idles there. Put saw upside down, left, right, etc. If it loads up...

Husky 261 to 262XP Muffler questions

Yeah, I think if I did anything I would widen the ports. There really isn't that much room for improvement though. Probably easier to make a slight popup piston and run no gasket. I think I could lighten the piston substantially as well. They were runners out of the box...I guess we know why.

    Husky 261 starts hard

LOL no offense taken. I imagine it would flow good and be nice and loud without cover. I've never seen the 262 front cover. I'm guessing it's similar to the 261? I don't understand where the muffler gets more flow if the exhaust outlet is the same. I was shooting for 125-150% total >...

Husky 261 to 262XP Muffler questions

I think mine is still fairly quiet but runs ok. There again I guess I'm comparing it to my 372 with a dual port. I don't think it will ever be that loud. I would try a 262 muffler if I could find one on the cheap. I guess I could open it up some more? I have another 261 that I bought that...
