What's the best method to apply oil? 1) Notch a rail behind the tip and drip oil into the notch? 2) Drip oil onto the sprocket tip? 3) Drill an oil hole (similar to factory) in the bar after the tip and drip oil into the hole?

Are you opposed to buying new? There are some good dealers on this forum that can get you a new muffler for a reasonable price. Sorry I can't help with a used part. @Wagnerwerks had a used muffler a while back - you could contact him.

The link posted is for an X-torq top end...more commonly known as stratocharged. Your 2009 model is not stratocharged. Do not buy the kit listed.

Who ported it? As far as the 6100/620 debate, or any saw debate, it comes down to a few things... 1) parts support and service - do you need a local dealer, or do you plan to buy your parts from a sponsor and conduct your own swrvice/repair? 2) ergonomics - what saw feels better in your hands...

Offer him what you are willing to pay and bring cash. He'll make the deal or pass. And, you won't pay more than you want to. I think people pay excessively for Stihl - new and used. You could buy the 064 for $400 and sell it for profit, then get a 395xp for milling.

No. I mean the new Powermatch bars vs. Powermatch bars from 15 years ago. The rails on the new bars seem soft - maybe the raw material has changed? But at the price you paid, a guy can't complain.

Cannon bars are excellent, but their initial cost is over double what you were quoted on the Oregon Powermatch. For your intended use, the Powermatch will likely serve you well. Other good brands are tsumura, sugihara, gb.

I think those prices are dirt cheap considering they include shipping. I also think the new Oregon bars aren't anywhere near the quality of the older oregon bars. The rails wear faster and you will be replacing them sooner.
