@PogoInTheWoods was asking me to pop in for a little insite on 10 series rings. As far as the rings go, only the cast or thick rings have the dimple. and only the ones that are designated to run in chrome bores. they have a taper on the face of the ring and if put in upside down they wont seal...

    Sold Makita 6421 $375

I've found a 372xp so I need to sell my 6421. This saw I got from the home Depot rental about 5 years ago. I have put a BBK cylinder on it from weedeaterman about 4 years ago. Installed a Caber ring and used OE circlips on the wrist pin. No base gasket with .029" squish. I also opened the...

    Using multi-grade oil in gas

The only down sides I see to using engine oil are: 1. The smoke 2. The deposits 3. It doesn't STAY mixed very well. (Like if you mixed some on Sunday and filled your saw on Saturday without vigorously shaking the can prior to fueling)

    357xp vs 455 rancher

I paid 80 bucks for my 357 with a strait gassed scored piston. Cleaned up the cylinder and put a meteor piston in it for 40 bucks. I have 120 in an awesome saw. It actually feels lighter than a 455 to me too.

What is the perfect chainsaw for what "You" cut

my Husky 357xp. Powerful enough to bury a 20" bar but light enough to limb.

    jonsered 2245 disappointment

Oh for gods sake, please learn how to spell. I don't know what a witch has to do with which saw saw you choose. No wonder you couldn't get the 2266 to start.

Not one, but two saws refuse to rev.

I think we got 4 inches that night in like 2 hours. Had to pull the driveway out of the yard. No water in any of my fuel though.
