Are you running ripping chain on it now? That saw should be able to handle full comp chain it the teeth are filled and rakers set. I run full comp .404 filled at 10 degrees on my 075 and have never had an issue. Nice looking wood by the way

I have an 066 and 075.....the 066 hands down is the boss...the 075 does have its place but bucking logs 36" or less the 066 will out cut it 2:1

I agree put a factory back in it and save your cylinder

So I went from this To this In less than 24 hours I had it all cleaned up but any where the tree was laying has turned the grass brown. Any ideas why?

Stihl 028 Wood Boss, one tank on a new piston and rings. Saw had been run lean and had some transfer on the cylinder. Cleaned up and installed new piston, rings, and a carb kit. Saw runs good, idle is a little finicky when cold but fine after warmed up. Pressure tested fine and compress checked...

Finished the last two logs today and they where a treat. Great looking wood hope it turns out good after drying

Rebuilt mildly ported 075 stihl with 36" bar of .404 filled at 10 degrees on a fg-2 with a grandberg mill attached burning 40:1 stihl ultra 100LL

No plans yet but something always comes up! I'm cutting. A few 4" mantle slabs by request so we will see

Score some good free cherry logs. Milled 2 yesterday and still have two bigger to tackle next week
