    How Do I?

not familiar with this exact model, or what you are calling a "coil" 2 cycle chainsaws (heck, small engines in general) have stators that generate juice. usually, they don't go bad. However, that stupid little 50 cent piece, the condenser, they do fail. Had the problem as you...

    Old saw demonstration/GTG Baraboo WI

crap, I must have just missed the fun. Although when you only show up on noon sunday, don't expect to see everything. The grounds, the buildings, the displays at the show - I need to dig up some pics to show the rest of these guys.

literally right up the street from me - and it's basically garbage. But, knowing where it is, somebody might throw $20 their way.

these bozos are only looking for one person to accept this nonsense. although, at best, for 2 bills, some weekend arborist (getting paid 2 bills) will slice and dice the tree along with cleaning up the prerequisite brush.

in that condition, exactly how much is there to work on? oh, you may want to hunt around for different fork seals and different springs so it doesn't ride quite so much like an applecart. and as for being a 1000, it should move fast enough - got to be pushing 80 hp.

Demoralized and a little embarresed, oil filter stuck

it's called "aggravation" and the appropriate answer is "the aggravation" of letting grease monkeys ##### with my car isn't worth saving a couple of dollars over the long run. and nobody touches the bike; or very, very bad things happen to them. been changing oil since I was 10. and...

    Score!!!!!

just by looking at it - vintage, about 1970 model 3000 - about 35 hp. and I noticed that the 3 point arm (that goes into the top fitting, joint, whatever) is missing. But that's okay as these tend to rust tight if the tractor is left to sit out in the rain. You will probably want to...

Do you drink beer while working on your saws?

First, I the hell live in Wisconsin. But I manage with it anyway. I have to mention the Clintonesque answer define "drinking".............. Normally when doing much work on a saw, depending on the level of difficulty, I will allow myself one beer. Then another when the job is done...

    Craigslist laughs

normal thinking has been skewed by $4 gas - people are thinking "if I could just get some more firewood, I'll be set for winter." Other people - homeowners, are thinking "maybe they will take it for nothing, what the heck." Folks, these people aren't crazy for asking the wood to be taken...

Geothermal just installed and first $1300 dollar power bill is here

went to a seminar on geothermal - apparently WI lattitude is near ideal. The first 3 months of summer, you are living off of the cold put there from winter. The first 3 months of winter, you are living off of the heat put there from summer. Danged if I know exactly where the other 6...
