    Coil Air Gap on old Mac's....

    I too have used the business cards with great success. If i am correct the cards are 10 to 12 thou proper gap being the same on most saws. cards are cheap.

    Is it possible for the coil to be crap n out in the high rpm's. It has spark with the plug out. How do you test a coil?

    With saw run'n it did not matter what turn the H screw was at it was still run'n rich. rich enough without the filter it was soaking you trigger hand with fuel.

    with a muffler mod the 520 is no doubt a performer for the money. imo i think it is a solid built saw. pro series cyl. metal case relatively light. if you not pleased with the saw let me know:rock:

    I'm selling

    Do some research and you will find that every brand has a saw or two that will stand the test of time and will out perform every other brand in their class. Get a saw that will do the job you want it to do and don't worry about the badge.
