    Stihl ms261c or bigger?

Kinda like why is a 2020 half ton truck better than a 1980 half ton. It's a completely different design. It's similar in weight but much smoother in the hands. It's got a noticeable amount more power as well as a wider power band and a snappier throttle. It's also got some creature comforts...

Do I Need a Smaller Saw than 026 in the 3 Saw Plan?

Looks good. Plus the m18 of course. :)

    Tsumora bars

I agree they are great to do business with. Most archer stuff is made in China though (the company is from Australia I think). And unless they moved Archerplus is in a hot tub/spa store. It's a trip going in there.

Do I Need a Smaller Saw than 026 in the 3 Saw Plan?

I think in terms of getting stuff done, adding the 036 and 044 to the mix is a damned good call.

I was only joking too. Seems like every time I talk to Tim he's added another saw to the lineup. I don't imagine he sells many!

Do I Need a Smaller Saw than 026 in the 3 Saw Plan?

I came here to say this. I read the comments up til here, so if you've already made a decision, sorry for coming in late. I like 50cc saws a lot. I do most of my work with 350/346s and they are the smallest gas saws I have. But I bought the m18 and I love it. It does have some drawbacks...

Really really really want a tractor

It really depends on the task at hand, and the individual tractor vs skid steer you're talking about. I mean if you're comparing a skid to an 8n, then yeah absolutely. Personally, I think skids, generally speaking, are more robust and powerful for lifting, digging, and grappling tasks. A...

By the sounds of it, the OP has several more nice saws headed to the trading post in the near future. Better keep an eye out!

    Skidding winch for the tractor

Gotcha. Thanks. Somehow I was thinking this was related to a skidding winch and I couldn't figure out how a drill would be involved. This makes more sense.

I find myself sliding my forks together or apart more often than I would have thought. Ymmv.

Really really really want a tractor

One thing to find out about the Masseys is who actually makes that tractor. I know their bigger compacts were made by Iseki, but I'm not sure if that's still the case, or if that's who makes the little ones also. Iseki is also Japanese and they make great tractors, but personally all else being...

Really really really want a tractor

Here's my take. If you wanna play with a backhoe, rent a mini a couple times. They're super fun and very handy. For serious digging, hire someone with insurance and skills. The guys who clock hours on those machines are orders of magnitude more productive. About the mower: they're too much...

    Skidding winch for the tractor

True, a little more than $35. I did actually get mine for a steal though. I don't think the guy really knew what he had. I paid $900 for my farmi 351. It's probably worth 3x that right now. I was a happy camper.

    husky 394 chain type

I'm a little ways from you, in river falls. But if you ever want to make the trip, it's always fun to meet other members. Here is a link to some archer full chisel skip chain. I think it's full skip. This stuff is decent enough chain. It used to be cheaper, so I'd suggest comparing it to Oregon...

    husky 394 chain type

Where you at? I'm in western wi and have some different setups for my 395s if you want to try some options. Personally I don't think there will be a benefit to running skip on that bar length, but some people do like it.
