WTF is going on here? Keeping the Tsumura for another saw. Don't understand why this would need an explanation. Saw is still available.

    Sold Jonsered CS2258

Saw is a 2016 manufacture. I purchased this last year from a local dealer new. It has less than ten tanks of fuel through it and doesn't even feel fully broken in yet. I have only used SEF 50:1 fuel through it. I ordered an outer felling spike for a Husqvarna 555 based on a thread here and...

    Splitting/Chopping Tool Review Thread

The IsoCore Pro mauls are excellent. Very well balanced and the shock reduction is incredible. I can easily swing the maul and then reset without having to change my grip at all. It was like cheating splitting this red oak with it. I wrote a full review of this line of mauls here.

Post pictures of your woodpile/splitting area

I have used two of these 8X8 platforms for stacking wood for the last few years. I liked using them for building roundhouse stacks. They were built using all scrap/leftover lumber over time. But I came across a bunch of heavy-duty storage pallets that a company was throwing out. Brought them...

What tests would you want to see on a battery powered top handle saw?

What matters more to you guys: A saw with the largest battery pack possible to provide the most run time even though it adds weight? Or A saw with a mid range battery pack to save weight but take a bit of a loss in runtime?

What tests would you want to see on a battery powered top handle saw?

 That's Rob in the video. He creates all of our YouTube video content. What do you expect, he is from Massachusetts. Those guys can't even pronounce the letter R!

    Battery powered vs gas saws

The Husqvarna is likely the best saw overall for what you are looking for. The chain speed is noticeably faster on the 536Li XP compared to even the Stihl MS220 CB. The Stihl has a lot of torque in the cut, but I can make mine bog down pretty easy. The Husqvarna is also very light and...

    "You Suck" Thread 2020"--Pics required!

Picked this up a few days ago. Needs a tube and probably a carb rebuild but the price was too hard to pass up.

What tests would you want to see on a battery powered top handle saw?

I think an electrical engineer somewhere just had an aneurism reading this. We do not have the instrumentation for that, but I will ask the manufacturers if they can assist in any way. I agree on the chains too. I did not do this with the other comparison due to the vast range in OEM chain...

What tests would you want to see on a battery powered top handle saw?

Hell Everyone, I am a member here who has always hung out in the Chainsaw and Firewood Heating sections. I have been working with a website Tool Box Buzz doing reviews on tools given my construction background. However I am a chainsaw nut and love using and learning more about saws. I recently...

    Cordless Chainsaw Head-2-Head Comparison

I am looking for some more feedback from the members here regarding a future test. I am hoping to start planning out a cordless top handle saw comparison test that is more geared towards the professional arborist/tree cutter user. What kind of testing or data would be most valuable to you? I...

    Cordless Chainsaw Head-2-Head Comparison

Makita has the XCU08Z which is a 36V true top handle arborist saw. It is a beast. I had the opportunity to review it back in December. You can read the full article here. I wanted to keep this recent test to all rear handles to keep it consistent. But now I am planning to do a follow up mini...

    Cordless Chainsaw Head-2-Head Comparison

I appreciate your feedback and also your ability to see what the test was really all about. At the end of the day none of these saws will replace my full time 60cc firewood saws, but they make a damn nice compliment to them. Especially for the situations when I get home from work and there is a...

    Cordless Chainsaw Head-2-Head Comparison

I agree completely. Much like circular/carpentry saws the quality of your blade, the profile, kerf, etc.. all make a big difference. The majority of these saws had narrow gauge general purpose chains on them. Oregon was the OEM for the majority of the saws. In the case of the Stihl, the...

    Cordless Chainsaw Head-2-Head Comparison

Hi Everyone, My name is Wes and I have been a member here for a long time. I am a backyard lumberjack, at best, who grew up cutting wood and burning it for heat. I continue to do so to this day. I am also a huge chainsaw geek and have spent more time than I care to admit lurking here and...

Want to Sell Mastermind Stihl MS441CM

I have a 60CC saw now and it is my most used saw. That's why the 441 hasn't been getting used. Thanks though. Also here is a picture of the muffler since another member asked.
