Tough decision on the future of my firewood

I've got the TW-5, few years old so it's still got the autocycle valve. It came with the outfeed grate, 4 way wedge & log lift also. ponyexpress hit it on the number of people to run it, 2 are busting arse to keep it running to full potential, 3 is better. Ed

    4 & 6 way wedges

I don't know what the actual pressure is on my TW-5, for the most part it doesn't slow down when using the 4 way wedge. At 2350 psi a 5" cylinder will give you 46142 lbs of force or 23 tons. Timberwolf lists the TW-5 pressure at 25 tons, that equals 2550 psi, so you'll be close. Ed

    4wd Tractor advice

Another vote for the 2120 (since I have one) very capable tractor. Also, if you check the specs., it's got more 3pt lift capacity than anything in it's class. Ed

Any of u do any Timber wolf tw5 modification

The only thing I'll be changing on mine is the tires....the unit sinks out of sight on soft ground with those skinny tires. I use a small cargo strap to keep the log lift up when the splitter sits. Ed

Anyone have any experience with twin cylinder Onan engines?

The first generation Onan twins had issues, Deere used them for a while, made a lot of money selling replacement engines. Valve seats coming loose in the heads were a common issue, had a 20hp that did that. My 16hp had the cam bearing spin in the end plate, took a while to figure out why the...

    OWB pump PSA

When you have an owb with 2 pumps (2 furnaces) and you replace a pump, make damn sure the new pump is installed to provide flow in the correct direction. :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang: It just works better..... Ed

    Wood Lot Management

Start with the Ash, its not going to be good much longer. I always begin by cutting the smallest trees first to open the area up, giving you more room to work and lay down the larger trees. Hazard trees come down last if possible. Pile and remove or burn the brush, if there's lots of trees to...

    Biggest wood

Few shots of a 36" dbh Cottonwood I dropped last fall, best guess was 110' tall. It had died the year before, needed to get it down before it became a hazard. Made a hellofa thump when it hit the ground. Ed

    Biggest wood

Here you are. We did have to pull it over, the road was 20' behind it and it wanted to go there. The dozer was the safest way to get where it needed to go. Ed
