    A well sharpened chain?

That’s all the light stuff it’s not that bad to pack the stuff honestly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A well sharpened chain?

A clapped out chain I’ll normally thicken the wheel out so I’m leaving almost no gullet at about a little over half way on the tooth, vs the new one that’s about factory size. As a depth gauges go a brand new chain needs the depth gauges dropped from day one to get a chain to actually cut...

You all need to recycle your carburetor based chainsaws and get the 500i

I still have those sugihara’s from those pictures so they’re almost 10 years old and only had a tip put on, but anymore I’ve been running the Stihl lightweights they’re cheaper as well as they don’t blind you well bumping knots. I haven’t tried the new Cannons but at a 100 plus dollars more I’m...

The cedar was about 5 years back and the one on the 3120 are from earlier this year. The 42 I have it was ran earlier this on a not so fun cedar. That one wasn’t much fun with how high the stump and really no where to stand on the far side of the stump stuff like that is the perfect place for...

That’s my 60 with me running it in my 20’s about 10 years ago. About 10 years later a nice one from a strip I cut this last year running that 500 with a 36 if you want to question what I do for a living or what I run and why be my guest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have with the long bars I’m talking the 60’s because it makes the balance that much easier I’m like anyone else I don’t like anymore weight then what’s needed. That said there’s time running those super long bars you want a little power head weight it helps with the weight being out there so...

It depends on the situation and the timber your falling there’s days I wish I’d brought the bigger saws out with the long bars to do something vs just the 500 with the 36. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe but your hands would of been hurting at the end of the day why mess with the 66’s when the 390’s did just as well in that size of wood or if you really want to pack the weight run the 395’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s also firewood duty correct? If you were pounding on a saw say 6 hours a day the only break it get is between stumps and gas how long would the old Poulan last? As I stated above I had a 385 for 15 years she went through two top ends and by then the bottom end was toast. Sent from my...

It’s a little more vibration nothing that isn’t out of the norm a lot of the vibration is going to also depend on the chain. Most of my chains the depth gauges are way down with a very aggressive square grind on the cutter that leaves almost no gullet. Mine isn’t ported but some do, muffler...

To me it’s closer to a 385/390 husky vs the 7900 I’ve ran in the past, as far as the 7900 remember how terrible the dawgs and the original low cover air filters were just like the 500. One thing with running it is you notice how much the 500 likes a long bar with a lot of aggressive cutters...
