    The Beg for Manuals Thread

Nice to see the Thread I started long ago to help others still lives! Been away from chainsaws and collecting/tinkering for a number of years but stumbled upon an MS201TC at a knockdown price I couldn't refuse. Does anyone have IPLs or workshop manuals for the MS201TC? It's the late 2017...

    Rasing exhaust when settin squish???

:agree2: The 038 Magnum was one of the Stihl saws which had a choice of base gaskets (as standard) for low or high compression depending on what the user wanted, You may have had the "low compression" gasket fitted from new.

    Mint 090

The best thing about sacrilege is that you can always repent later! Take my 090 for instance, I had it at 210 psi cold after a bout of sacrilege with the cylinder in a four jaw chucked lathe. I repented and brought it to a more "reasonable" level. I'll see your 150 and raise you 40...

    07S con rod

Sorry, It did not share con rods with any other chainsaw (apart from it's 07 predecessor). I may have a spare one if you are stuck, I'll have to find time to have a look though.

    Stihl 020T Compression question

I'd bet your piston and rings are in crap order, 120 is too low in my opinion.

Does this look like a 075?

I must have been editing while you were typing! Hey kevlar, I posted a reply to an old post of yours :- http://www.arboristsite.com/showpost.php?p=1637752&postcount=19 There may be some life in your TS760 collection yet!

Does this look like a 075?

Is that back handle sitting at a strange angle (Perhaps broken?) lifting the top cover up? The Full Wrap Handle also looks wrong when viewed from the front, it looks like it's split at the top mount holes and it's also a strange shape, like one side is taller than the other.

Does this look like a 075?

You're right, I missed that! Suspect 075:- Real 076 I can't find any reason for this strange exhaust cover in any of the 050/051/075/076/TS510/TS760 IPLs, they all show the same exhaust cover and Handle. This just gets stranger and stranger!

Does this look like a 075?

:agree2: I would have thought that even though it doesn't have the Manual Oiler it does have the provision for one (unlike the 051) and so must be the 1111 020 2116 (075,076) crankcase which was also shares with the TS760 up to the serial number X 23529742, the TS760 of this age also had a...

    051 to 076

Some of them may be worth having a second look at, there were 5 different crankcases for this series, three were "Stone Cutter" only and two were direct replacements for their chainsaw counterparts. 4205 020 2102 Crankcase TS510 4205 020 2103 Crankcase TS760 4205 020 2104 Crankcase TS760...

    Analyze This

From my knowledge of Husqvarna's K750 stone saw and the fact many have required a new crankcase due to a weak mounting point constantly breaking and requireing replacements, I know that Husky replacement Crankcases come without Serial Plates. Was it ground off or just missing?

Used Stihl chainsaw for 20 dollars!!

Wise up! It's a Contra GS with a 5 foot bar and a never used 1/2" chain.......................... :chainsaw:

Can anyone ID this saw for me?

    The number given is a part number from the bottom of the back handle/Mix Tank. The first four digits correspond to a saw family in the Stihl lineup. 1106 = 090 1107 = 07 1108 = 08 S 1109 = 090 G 1110 = 041 1111 = 051, 075, 076 1112 = 041 G 1113 = 030, 031, 032 1114 = 020 1115 = 045...

    Partner P100 super piston leads?

I thought the pistons were both the same on these saws and the McCulloch Pro/Power Mac 1000. Was it not other minor differences which seperated them rather than the engine?
