    I'd check the 4th tooth on the left side unless it is a 24" bar and then your culprit is likely your 7th tooth on the right side.:dizzy:

    It was as high as $130 a cord but is coming down with oil prices down and pulp mills closing yards to logs. At least $700 or $800 for a triaxle at least. It's gonna vary regionally within new England though.

    They run them through a drying process before they go to the burn chamber. They often use gases collected from the main burn to fuel the pre-dryer.

    Always have wedges. A couple of things might have gone wrong. Most likely you misread the tree's lean because of the hillside. Just because the terrain slopes away doesn't mean that the tree isn't leaning uphill. Another factor to consider is a strong prevailing wind. A strong wind...

    Snow Plow Questions

    No matter what plowing rig you have set up, deep snow should never become an issue. Plow with the storm, 6-8" pushes with light and fluffy, 3-4" with wet and heavy.

    There is a reason why efficient chip burning systems are auger fed. A pre dryer is pretty common in most applications as well.

    Where are you coming up with lumber or plywood?:confused: He posted a picture of a piece of firewood in the firewood forum. I'm betting it is firewood. My first instinct was walnut, but seeing how we don't see much of that or any of the other species suggested I'll leave it as a guess.

    A properly running firewood kiln should produce dry wood in a week or two depending on factors like insualtion,ventilation,etc...
