    Equipment value

Hi, been a while since I’ve been here. I’m considering selling one of my chainsaw mill setups. I just don’t use this setup. I have a great running 084, with brand new never used 72” granberg Alaskan mill. I’ve also got a cannon 72” bar that has literally been used to make about 10 freehand cuts...

Lent my saw out a few years ago

Not many people I’d lend one of my saws to, but yes a good friend. Haven’t had the time to do any milling lately (kids and sports), which is why 2.5 years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lent my saw out a few years ago

So, I lent my 084 to a friend to mill a couple logs a 2-1/2 years ago. Have not used the saw since. I couldn’t get the saw to start, so I started looking closer and remembered he’d taken it to a shop for a busted pull cord. Anyways, I now see the top cover is crooked and broken at the point...

    2 stroke oil go bad?

Thanks for the feedback! I sorta figured it wouldn’t be a problem, but the 084 is an expensive one to repair if something goes wrong. I also know that milling this 60-72” diameter oak log will be giving this saw a serious work. Decisions decisions... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2 stroke oil go bad?

I’ve got a few quarts of Mobil 1 racing 2T oil. 1 bottle was opened several years ago, the rest are sealed. I haven’t done much with my saws for several years. Now I’ve got a 60” Oak I want to mill with my 084. Wondering if I can safely use the open or unopened bottle of mobil1-2T. Thanks...

    084 and 066 top end

Don't know how the ring pins were oriented. Consensus seems the port job was bad, which is a bummer. Spend lots of money, for poor quality work. Sorta sucks, but being as it's demise likely came from bad fuel, I guess it's a moot point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've often checked my diesel in glass jar, guess it's time to start doing the same with gas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    084 and 066 top end

Looking in the 066, I can see some scoring on the piston, but not the cylinder. Although, cylinder damage that would match the piston is on the side of the cylinder I can't see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also curious of any bodies thoughts on the port work as well. In reality, that top end probably didn't have more than 15 hours on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    084 and 066 top end

Honestly don't know if any debris was in crankcase. All this happened a few years ago. Had the 084 repaired and asked for cylinder piston back at the time. Never looked at the cylinder/ piston until today when I started contemplating the fate of the 066. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
