I'm 67: my bar isn't what it used to be, if I strain much stuff comes out the exhaust, when I work hard I sound like Chitty Chitty bang bang and I won't start in the morning if I'm not careful of what I take in the night before. I'M VINTAGE.

just got a brake handle for a 046, looks perfect but is an inch narrower than the saw. Need to buy a Chinese brake stretcher now!

Thanks! I am leaning that direction for sure. The tree was hit very near the top and it followed the heart wood all the way down.

Hi guys, Never had one hit this hard before, chunks of wood and bark 150 feet from the tree. Not sure if I can drop it or if it will have to come down from the top. Thought about putting a chain and binder around it above the cut and giving it a shot, but I'm getting old and don't run so fast...

Some one was a bar salesman that came up with that. There is always a little play or it would over heat. Most people don't grind the edge of the bar smooth and wonder why the sharp chain won't cut.

I used to cut firewood in northers Arizona. There is a ton of sand in the wood and wears bars fast. I would run ,058 bars til loose then change to 063 chain, after taking out two links on 3/8's I changed to a 404 sprocket to get the last out of the chains.

Face it! A bar is warn out when even the fat chicks stop showing up!
