Saw help For the moment lets forget the saw breed, lets look at going to a dealer and go and handle some different models of saws. A 50 cc saw with a 18" 325 bar will do a lot of work. It sounds like you have the limbing saw already. I would say get that old solo up and running an d froget...

trying to fit a husky bar on a mcculloch 250

Saw bar What is the issue about just getting the right bar and right chain. Most time you need to re drill the oil inlet on the bar. Just change the bar tip to 404 and take the saw in and have a chain made for her :)

    Boots

The removable lined boot are better then non removable for maintenance reasons. Boots need washed out when worn daily to reduce salt build up and removing grit that works its way down into the boot.

Old vs New Husqvarna and Stihl saws ?

Old Versus New There is some of the older saws that can outdo the new saws for torque. Also some of us have a nostalgia problem and want saws that have history and are rare muscle saw from a bygone era. Old muscle saws are heavy but oh so much fun buried into a log:msp_thumbup:

    Boots

We have guys at work that use clearing saws that are scary,no amount of PPE is going to save them from their own actions. Never...
