    Lost retainer clip

Im putting a hyway 52mm cylinders kit with pop up piston on my Stihl 461. I lost one of the retainer clips for the piston pin.( It went flying) Can I use any clip that fits? Or does it have to be the kind and size of the one I lost. Auto zone has a big selection. Would a snap ring work ?

    I hate this clamp

I was giving a 028 wood boss. The piston and cylinder was toast.. I ordered a new top end off eBay and put it on the saw. I can not for the life of me get the clamp on the boot that connects carb to cylinder. It's driving me crazy. I had the same problem on my 461 I replaced the top end on. On...

Not using a base gasket on barrel.

I'm replacing the piston on my461 Stihl with a pop up piston, would it be feasible to leave off the barrel gasket to further raise compression? I'm going to add an after market muffler mod also. This saw gets used a lot.

    Leaves turning white

I am stumped on why these leave on a 10 year old red grapefruit tree would be turning white. I first thought sunsculd, but it’s pretty uniform around the tree, or an iron deficiency. But there would be other lives showing signs of it. Plus the tree is giving a solvable iron periodically as...

    Ants in oak.

I went up today to assess a defect in a black oak about 30 ft. Up. When I struck the tree I could tell the whole leader was hollow beyond where the defect was visible. Small red and black ants started swarming out of the hollow leader. It looked like water pouring out there was so many of them...

    Notch polesaw.

I'm wondering if the Notch fiberglass/carbon fiber extension pole saw is conductive to electricity? I know it's not rated or recommended for use around electrical wires, but would there be any advantage over a silky aluminum pole? I know aluminum poles will fry you. Id like to get one for line...

    Like work in San Diego.

I am an experienced tree professional and above average climber. I can trim beautifully, do the most difficult removals, I can run a crew and get any job done unsupervised. Closest to La Jolla the better. I'll take full time, part time, by the job, I'm easy. Two things I love trees and kayak...

I picked up this strange old craftmen chainsaw. I know craftmen never made saws. It looks like it could be a homelite or poulen. Whats unusual is it has a built in chain sharperner. Anyone have any idea what it is?
