    kerf to small??

I always flip the bar...I believe it gives you even wear. I don't know how anyone can get 5 tanks through one chain without sharpening. Although I hear guys doing it all the time. I used to swap chains every two tanks. Now run a tank then touch it up while letting saw cool before refueling...

Thanks....i did have a slight burr a couple weeks ago. I filed them back everything seemed fine again. Guess I need to take another look and see if its burred out again. Our river (wabash largest/longest in Indiana) floods several times a year and what do you think it brings down with it. You guessed...

    cottonwood hardwood or softwood

With alot of river bottoms and creek bottoms in my area we have lots of huge cottonwoods around. Looking at the sheer size of those trees makes me want to drop one. I would just about consider them the red woods of my area. Not much cept maybe a giant sycamore can compare around these parts. No...

Sorry I couldn't make it even though im only few miles away. My day started off bad and only got worse. Last night the way things looked I knew I would have much time, but told myself I would at the very least get down there and meet everyone. Well that didn't happen as you know. Glad you all...

Decided I'm done cutting wood-maybe forever

I wonder how many people ran short on wood early in 2000 and 2001. This world has been going to end many times. The date comes and goes and someone else will speak up as to when when the next dooms day is. :dizzy:

How much difference does a blower make?

I have an earth stove 100 series. It does a fine job of heating. Bought it used as well and have used it last two years. Last year as a constant supplement to my propane. This year I've not used the propane at all. The only thing I regret about buying this unit is someone in its past reduceds...
