Last years seedlings showing "rust" ??

I received a hundred two year old seedlings from the Wisconsin DNR and planted them. Now that the snow is finally gone I was out inspecting them and a number of them seem to have a very noticeable browning of the needles. Is there something I should be concerned about, something I can do ...

    Splined carb adjustment tools

"Buy a pair of hemostats and you can remove all the different types. Then slot them to accept a flat tip screwdriver." You can but it's nice to have the right tool and if you are adjusting while it's running it's damn hard to keep that screwdriver in the slot or even find it to begin with while...

    Splined carb adjustment tools

There is a set for about $70 where they have matching handles and the style of the tip is printed on the handle, very professional and my OCD was making me want them but I finally went with the cheaper set above. My Ryobi has the Pac-man style screws and I figured I might as well get them all...

help guys!!! strato saw (ryobi 10520) problem

I'd like to see that video but the link is dead. What is the fuel line modification that was mentioned ?? "they do need a little tweaking from the factory" And what would that be exactly ?? I just picked a new one up today.

    RYOBI RY10520 vs 10532

Yup, the thread is two and a half years old but if you're researching Ryobi RY10520 like I was and end up here soon, I just picked one up for 99.99 new in a case at HomeDepot, they're on clearance. I was looking for a case and $40 for a case compared to the case and this saw for $99, couldn't...

Need info on new bar for Jonsered 910 910E

The bad thing about this is now I'm starting to look forward to bringing my old David Bradley home and start to find a recoil for it, clean the carb and see if I can get it running once this one is back together !!

    Antique saw thread

Well I have one. Can't even remember how I got it. Tried to start it years ago with an electric drill on the nut as the recoil is missing. It sputtered and popped but never ran on it's own. I'm sure the carb needs cleaning. It's a Sears/David Bradley but I'm interested in any info anyone might...

    Wky gtg 2013

After the wet heavy last night and the wind piling it up I'm ready to take a chainsaw to the drifts !! Poor little blower is really lugging with some of the stuff that just landed. Don't think it's thawing out any time soon

Ok, I see the horizontal lines, how do they indicate wear ?? This is the first time I've been this deep in a chainsaw.

Need info on new bar for Jonsered 910 910E

Well I guess I need to track down a 4 spike inner then. I'd like them to match. I know a tree isn't smooth but I figure with the same length spikes you stand a better chance of keeping the bar straight. Any idea why someone would do uneven spikes ?? Thanks for the heads up on the vibration...

How to remove clutch on Jonsered 910 910E

Thank you , , , clockwise got it off. I have an impact but I was reluctant to use it. Stuffed some pull cord in the spark plug hole and laid it on the floor and stepped into the handle and down on a six point box wrench. I watched a video where a guy did it on a bench but he had a three or four...

How to remove clutch on Jonsered 910 910E

I have a 910E that looks like the sprocket is pretty badly worn. Which way do you turn the bolt that holds the clutch to the crankshaft to get it off ?? Besides the bolt is there anything else in there to remove to get the cultch and sprocket out ?? I also seem to have excessive play in the...

Need info on new bar for Jonsered 910 910E

Is the difference in a 910 to a 910E just the ignition system ?? AVB I appreciate the link but that bar is no longer available :-( It does however give me a part number to use on other sites. I've been working on some snow blowers and I use that site and others for parts but didn't think to...

Need info on new bar for Jonsered 910 910E

I have a hand me down Jonsered 910E in average condition. I'd like to use it for general clean up and trimming of trees, infrequent cutting one up for firewood. First day with it the recoil broke and the fuel smelled like varnish. Ordered the recoil spring and installed and cleaned out the gas...

    Jonsered 820 bucking spikes.

Since I have the 5 point on the inside and the larger 4 point on the outside I have to wonder is there any reason someone would intentionally set it up this way ?? If not, which one would be a better choice for a weekend tree trimmer and an occasional fire wood cutter ??

    Jonsered 820 bucking spikes.

Well, I did some research and I do have mismatched spikes. The smaller 5 point on the inside and the bigger 4point on the outside. Time to Ebay !!
